Choosing a Credit Card

May 28, 2008 at 11:18 am (Uncategorized)

The first step in choosing a credit card is thinking about how you will use it.

  • If you expect to always pay your monthly bill in full–and other features such as frequent flyer miles don’t interest you–your best choice may be a card that has no annual fee and offers a longer grace period.

  • If you sometimes carry over a balance from month to month, you may be more interested in a card that carries a lower interest rate (stated as an annual percentage rate, or APR).

  • If you expect to use your card to get cash advances, you’ll want to look for a card that carries a lower APR and lower fees on cash advances. Some cards charge a higher APR for cash advances than for purchases.

Most credit card companies offer several kinds of cards:

  • Secured cards, which require a security deposit. The larger the security deposit, the higher the credit limit. Secured cards are usually offered to people who have limited credit records–people who are just starting out or who have had trouble with credit in the past.

  • Regular cards, which do not require a security deposit and have just a few features. Most regular cards have higher credit limits than secured cards but lower credit limits than premium cards.

  • Premium cards (gold, platinum, titanium), which offer higher credit limits and usually have extra features–for example, product warranties, travel insurance, no transfer fee or emergency services.

Your Perfect Skin

May 26, 2008 at 4:51 am (Uncategorized)

All women would love to have smoother, younger looking skin. Some beauty products promise to give you beautifully, radiant skin but unfortunately it’s just not that easy.

You must work at maintaining healthy skin and the six key steps to doing so are as follow:

1. Make sure you get the 7 or 8 hours sleep your body needs every night.
2. Be as active as possible to maintain a healthy body and mind.
3. Enjoy lots of fresh air but try to limit your exposure to cold temperatures, excessively windy conditions and of course the biggest danger to your skin of all; the sun.
4. As difficult as it may be, try to life a happy, contented life and limit your exposure to stress.
5. Develop a regular skin care routine for your type of skin, and always try to moisturise twice a day and exfoliate twice a week.
6. Eat a healthy balanced diet with plenty of fruit and vegetables, and try to drink 6 to 8 small glasses of water a day.

The Egg Diet

May 16, 2008 at 7:43 am (Uncategorized)

I have just found out an interesting diet. It is named Egg diet.

Well, the Egg diet is a diet that will allow you to consume unlimited amounts of eggs, meat and fat. Unlimited amounts of fat, is that possible? Critics were skeptical at first, but in fact it is. Once the stored fat is converted into glucose, the glucose then fuels the body and burns fat directly.

A high-protein, low carb diet will digest into the system a lot easier and produce glucose, so the calories burn faster. When fat is stored in the body it can produce glucose, but it is a much slower process. You want to reduce the amount of carbs that you consume to barely any carbs at all.

As soon as you have done that, you can continue to consume fat in your regular diet. Within this diet you can consume as much protein as you want such as, cheese, eggs and meat. The calories that you consume are irrelevant, so do not pay much attention if you are increasing your calorie intake.

During the diet, you can also consume as many vegetables as long as they are not starchy or sweet. Basically, you want to stay away from baked potatoes and munch on a salad with your specialty dressing. Unfortunately, breads and pastas are off limits as well.

The egg diet may be hard to adjust to for the first week because your body may not be use to how hard your digestive will work when you are on the diet. You may also feel very weak and begin to shake, but don’t worry this is normal. Usually, everyone experiences these side effects and if they do not it is because their food consumption contains too many carbs.

Typically, the average person on the diet has 4 to 6 fried eggs, 1 to 2 sausage links and some bacon for breakfast. You also want to hydrate your body with as much water as possible. Stay away from soda, even diet soda because it contains artificial sweetener. Artificial sweeteners are very bad for you and do not convert into glucose.

Overall, this will help you lose weight, but may have a bad effect on your body in the beginning. You will lose weight within the first month because your body will continue to lose weight. Most weight will be water weight and you will lose it rather quickly. I personally would recommend this diet over the Atkins Diet for short term weight loss.

May be I should try..

Today I’m happy indeed! Imagine, I met the friend I hadn’t seen since our school days. Besides, she offered me to deal with her (she owns a large business).

Then I went shopping and find out a new store with very nice short. I bought a lot of summer skirts, shorts and tops ! 🙂

Your First Credit Card

May 7, 2008 at 7:46 am (Uncategorized)

Today, establishing a good credit history is very important. You need a good credit history to get a decent rate when you want to buy a home or a car. Your credit history can also determine whether you get a good job, a decent apartment or reasonable rates on insurance. One wrong step like a late payment or maxing out your credit cards can affect you for years.

Here are some tips on how to get a credit card with no credit:

Check your credit report

See what, if anything, lenders are saying about you. This information is contained in your credit report.

Establish checking and savings accounts

Lenders see checking and savings accounts as signs of stability, and also one of the few things you can do to start building a financial history.

Understand the basics of credit scoring

The two most important factors in credit scoring are:

– Whether you pay your bills on time.

– How much of your available credit you actually use.

That’s why it’s important to pay your bills on time, and never max out or even get close to max out any of your credit cards.

“Borrow” someone else’s good credit

The fastest way to establish a credit history is to borrow someone else’s good credit record, either by being added to a credit card as a joint user or by getting someone to co-sign a loan for you. This is exactly how I got my first credit card 🙂
